Short Single-coated Dog Breeds

The dogs with "Short Single-coats" feature  dog breeds that have a fur-coat without any undercoat. These coats are programed to grow to a predetermined length (PDL). 

They have a flat short coat that holds close to the body. At first glance it appears that these coats are easy to care for but because their coats are so short, they often deal with "allergy" problems due to their minimal protection from the environment, as well as dryness due to lack of hair length to store additional oils. Over-bathing is a common enemy to these coats which often leads to problems with dryness that are hard to resolve.
